I took a CHL renewal class years ago which was led by a non-LEO person. One student asked about criminal trespass at night, and the instructor casually answered, "Just shoot them." That was a very disturbing answer to hear. I very much appreciated the fact the instructor in this course is current or former LEO and has real world experience on these matters. Great job in your presentation and adding examples from experience.
